In October we were a speaker at the Graphisoft – Portfolio Construction Technoogy & Innovation conference with our presentation „How BIM is similar to Facebook and Google”.There was a strong consensus among the participants that new BIM-based digital technologies can be the main tool for the construction industry to increase efficiency. In our presentation we pointed out to the audience that BIM models can be a big step forward not only in the design and construction phase, but also from the operational side, as most of the life cycle costs of buildings are incurred in this phase. Even small operational efficiencies can make a huge difference in terms of both cost and environmental performance.
